E-J Scott is a heritage curator and cultural producer whose practice employs a critical inquiry into whether or not raising the visibility of LGBTIQ+ narratives is queering the museum or museum-ing what’s queer? Their curatorial methodologies include arts participation as hyper-localised occupation, community-led collecting and digital border disruption. E-J’s projects include the Museum of Transology (Activist Museum Award 20/21, RCGM), DUCKIE, Queer & Now (Tate), West Yorkshire Queer Stories (HLF), Queer the Pier (Brighton Museum & Art Gallery) and the Prejudice and Pride podcast series (National Trust).

Ajamu X

Ajamu X is an artist, scholar, archive curator, and radical sex activist. His fine art photography explores same-sex desire and the Black male body. Ajamu is the founder (with Topher Campbell) of rukus! Black Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Cultural Archive which is now deposited at London Metropolitan Archive.

Laura Forster

Laura C. Forster is an editorial fellow at HWO and a post-doc at Birkbeck, working on progressive ideas and internationalism in early twentieth-century Britain. She is writing a book on the political exiles of the Paris Commune of 1871 and the longer intellectual and cultural afterlives of the Commune in Britain, provisionally titled The Paris Commune in Britain: Radicals, Refugees, and Revolutionaries since 1871. Laura is interested in histories of transnational activism, informal cultures of political and intellectual exchange, the social history of ideas, political exile, and queer spaces past and present.
